Wave of Light 2016

We lit our candles on October 15.
This year and last year I made the candles we lit. I made candles that were given out at the Atlanta Walk to Remember. There is not much I can do to lessen the pain that a bereaved parent carries throughout their lifetime. I am hoping that the candle makes their path a little brighter (even if it is only for a little while).

I love your candles. And I love this tradition. Me and my kiddos lit our candles. We had mountain time zone covered for you, with love.

Wow-we didn’t realize that you’d made the candles as well! Really makes a tradition even more special and personal…

I’ll brag on Lanie (since she won’t do it herself). Lanie made nearly 400 candles, by hand, last year and this year. She worked very hard and the candles are beautiful. Almost hate to light them and watch them disappear, but in Jake and Sawyer’s memories, I’d do anything. Plus, she can always make more! Thank you to friends and family who support her (and us) in all the ways we remember Jake and Sawyer.
